The Calgary Magic Circle, Les Brockelsby Ring is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to improving and furthering the art of magic, and to provide a fraternity where magicians can learn, share, and improve their skills. It is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and is a local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Our members get together on a regular basis to share their passion and interest in the art of performing magic.
In addition to our regular meetings, we also hold events throughout the year such as lectures, shows, swap meets, and competitions. One of our most popular events in the past has been our annual Evening of Magic charity fundraiser. Past shows have raised funds to support the Calgary Interfaith Foodbank, The Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre, and the Inglewood School for Music and Arts.
The Calgary Magic Circle - Les Brockelsby Ring is named after Les Brockelsby, one of the founders of the current charter. Les is a veteran magician from Calgary who has been instrumental in furthering magic, and is the founder of the Junior Magic Circle.
